As I was listening to "The Many Sides Of..." within a good hour, I could hardly believe that I was being offered a musical listening pleasure from a French duo. And really: What Messrs. Bastien 'Blackberry' Alzuria and Franck 'Mr. Offering Hoo-Boo' Bailly songs for their first officially available album to the public via the still fairly unknown Rhythm Bomb label is top notch!
Enormous how much heart and soul Blackberry'N Mr. Hoo-Boo invest in their blues songs. Completely unvarnished, extremely rough and very energetic, the songs are reflected in the speakers. For this they only need - apart from their singing - a guitar, a harmonica and two wooden pallets converted into percussion instruments, which they abuse with their feet both live and on "The Many Sides Of..." so much that I recommend every cobbler able to apply there as a 'regular soleer'.
