Kid Colling is a Colombian-Luxembourgish singer-songwriter and guitarist. From an early age he was drawn by the magical sounds of the Mississippi blues and the rhythm and swing of the big bands: the blues had touched his soul. At age 16, he got his first guitar and immediately knew that music will be his life. Colling is a graduate from the American School of Modern Music in Paris where he discovered jazz music and learned from such greats as Peter Giron, Rick Margitza, Manuel Rocheman or Christopher Culpo. Colling is constantly looking for collaborations and projects in order to broaden his musical horizons. After singing with Marly Marques in a rhythm & blues band and playing the guitar for the harmonica player Dave White, he works since 2014 with the American folkblues singer Ilene Barnes.

Al was lead guitar player in a Classic Rock cover band with Pat on drums, he wanted to start a new blues/rock project, he already has discussed with Oli, another blues lover that played bass guitar but never played in a band, so naturally Pat joined them and the first rehearsal was organised.
Quickly they got their first show for a birthday party and since, in 3 years, they have made around 100 shows with always positive feedback.
Their music is a mix of personal compositions and covers influenced by the heavy blues of ZZ Top and Rory Gallagher to sixties blues of Muddy Waters and BB King without forgetting masters like Stevie Ray Vaughan or Eric Clapton.

Entitled “In the Devil’s Court” and recorded at the Berduquet studio in Bordeaux, the album features ten original songs by Kid Colling as well as an intense cover of the standard “How blue can you get”, made famous by B.B. King in 1964.

With this album, the band clearly heads towards a new sound. More blues rock oriented than the 2014 EP “Tomorrow’s far Away” and inspired by artists such as Gary Clark Jr, Tedeschi Trucks Band or The Allman Brothers Band, “In the Devil’s Court” fluctuates between blues and rock and emphasises Colling’s qualities as a songwriter, composer and arranger. A blues phrase, a rock guitar, a groovy rhythm section and a singing Hammond B3 organ contributed to this album which marks the true career beginning of the Kid Colling Cartel.
