Roxy launched her blues career in the 80s, when she quickly became known for her exciting live performances at clubs, concert halls and festivals throughout the U.S. and abroad. These performances secured her reputation as "the real deal" and "New York Blues Queen". In recent years Roxy has appeared on the concert bill with Rod Piazza, Shemekia Copeland, Leon Russell, Marcia Ball, John Mayall, Saphire, Hubert Sumlin, Gatemouth Brown, Koko Taylor, The Black Crowes, and a host of others.

In 2007, Roxy and her band performed at the renowned Montreux Jazz Festival, where they headlined two stages, including the Lake Geneva Blues Cruise. As a recording artist, Roxy has performed, produced and written the material for her four highly acclaimed CDs "Hi Heel Blues", "Roxy Perry - New York Blues Queen", "Back In Bluesville" and her most recent CD "In My Sweet Time". Music from these CDs has been added to classic female blues artist lists on radio stations throughout the world.

Roxy's third release on her label BluePerry Hill Records, is a self-produced album entitled "In My Sweet Time". It is primarily original material at its best, including Blues, R&B, Jump, Swing, Country, Jazz, Funk, Latin, Delta, Rock and Rockabilly. It also includes an original rendition of the Hank Williams, Sr. classic "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry".

Roxy Perry, widely heralded as the NY blues queen, has now completed her third CD. An accomplished composer, she wrote ten of the eleven tunes, and her lyrics speak to the constant search for meaning. The original tunes on this effort cover a diverse range of subjects and emotions. The title cut of interprets the travails on the blues road, which always bring her back to Bluesville.

Perry's satiny vocals caress the ballad "Midnight Train" with polished emotion on lyrics that relate to an abusive relationship. On "Crooked Path," Baxter's splendid slide guitar displays a Delta blues influence on this upbeat lament. "Nothing like You" has a Jazz-influenced Dixieland rhythm on Perry's sultry vocals. A humorous vocal take on "Two Left Feet" is delightful on this jump blues tune. "Stone in the Sea" is a light rock adventure with tasteful guitar support. "Forgive and Forget" is bluesy number with a vibrant vocal rendering.

The cover of "House of the Rising Sun" features a soulful Perry on harmonica and smoldering vocals in a delightful arrangement of this traditional tune. This CD is resplendent with original material sensitively rendered with taste by the formidable band members. Roxy Perry has an alluring voice which she uses to great effect. A child prodigy, Roxy started out fronting swing bands at the famous Glen Island Casino in New Rochelle, New York and performed her first major concert at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California at age 9. In her early teens, she began fronting her own bands. By her late teens, she was working six nights a week with her 10-piece soul band at the Peppermint Lounge on 45th Street and Times Square in New York City. It was there that she was discovered and did her first studio recording as a back-up vocalist. This led to her going on tour for four years with the pop-rock band, Dawn, representing their hits of the time. The band headlined concert tours with Kenny Rogers, The Carpenters, Rare Earth, Gladys Knight & The Pips, Iron Butterfly, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Mike Nesmith, Mark Lindsay and many others. In the ‘80’s an EP was released on Personal Records, produced by Richie Cordell, which was high on the Billboard charts for two months.

In 2006, BACK IN BLUESVILLE was awarded BEST SELF-PRODUCED CD at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee.

Roxy is also featured on a long list of Blues albums as both backup and featured vocalist. Blues legend Roscoe Gordon chose Roxy to sing three part harmonies on his entire last release that aired worldwide.

In 2007, Roxy was presented with the prestigious ARTIST OF THE YEAR award by the Westchester Arts Council, New York. In 2009, Roxy Perry was officially recognized and inducted as a GREAT BLUES MUSICIAN, New Yorkin the BLUES HALL OF FAME®.
