Guitarist Micky Moody needs little introduction. He first came to prominence in the early seventies as the youngest member, of the highly acclaimed, Juicy Lucy. Afterwards, he co-founded Snafu and enjoyed similar success. A telephone call from Deep Purple’s David Coverdale resulted in a performer or writing partnership on the superstar’s two solo LP’s. This led to the formation of Whitesnake, and yes the rest really is history.

Micky’s first solo album I Eat Them For Breakfast was released by Armadillo Music in 2000, following this his collaboration with ex-Juicy Lucy member Paul Williams came about in 2002 Smokestacks, Broom Dusters & Hoochie Coochie Men.

Paul’s phenomenal vocal style was nurtured during the great blues boom of the sixties working alongside Alexis Korner, Zoot Money and John Mayall, before joining Micky in Juicy Lucy.

Smokestacks, Broom Dusters & Hoochie Coochie Men is their 16 track celebration of the music of Elmore James, Muddy Waters and Howling Wolf.

The Ali Maas and Micky Moody collaboration began in 2014 as a songwriting venture which has since evolved into the album Black & Chrome. It is more than a coincidence that one of Ali’s early influences as a singer was David Coverdale at the time when Micky was guitarist with the original Whitesnake. The results of this union, however, are not based on any form of classic rock, but more from a shared admiration of blues, soul, Americana, swampy rhythms and captivating melodies. Aside from his well-documented time with Whitesnake, Micky was also a member of Juicy Lucy, Snafu, Frankie Miller’s Full House, Roger Chapman and the Shortlist, The Moody Marsden Band, The Company of Snakes, M3 and Snakecharmer. He has also been a very active session musician, author and creator of library music.

Ali has always specialized in writing original material with thought provoking lyrics and inventive melodies. After an initial period of studio work, and live session singing, she progressed onto the indie rock scene as lead singer and writer for the critically acclaimed band McQueen. During this time, Ali also developed her skills as an artist and currently runs her own one-woman enterprise, making mixed media artwork and leather work for the interior design industry. Her first love is, and always has been, music.

This sees the first Album from the boys which features Manfred Mann and Anthony Head as guests artists. A rip snorting Album that combines the deft guitar playing of Mick Rogers and Micky Moody along side the rockabilly stability from Ian Jennings all pinned down by Jimmy Copley's incredible drumming glued together by Robert Harts edgy blues vocals, its not hard to see why these guys all make a living in music. A chance to listen to Micky Moody and Friends, recorded live at the Hell Blues Festival, Norway in 2000. The stellar lineup on this album are: Micky Moody Guitar, Slide Guitar and Vocals; Bernie Marsden Guitar and Vocals; Neil Murray Bass; Don Airey Keyboards; John Lingwood Drums; Featuring cameo apperances by Tony Ashton Geraint Watkins and Gary Twigg.

Micky Moody is best known for his role in the definitive Whitesnake line-up, though his vast and varied career was spawned out of a sixties school band which also included another future star, Free and Bad Company singer Paul Rodgers. Micky quickly graduated to the recording studios via the R&B combo Tramline before touring Britain and Europe with some of the countrys top soul musicians.

Joining the highly acclaimed Juicy Lucy was a large step towards rock stardom, and major tours of Britain, Europe and the USA accompanied a regular output of recorded works. After Juicy Lucy split, Micky co-founded Snafu, combining his rock-style guitar with down-home stateside grooves, and became a major contributor on the song-writing front. Snafu recorded three albums and toured extensively before the individual members headed off to pursue their different ventures. Micky then became engrossed in session work as his reputation as a versatile performer spread. Soon a phone call from David Coverdale assured Micky of a vital place in his future plans, starting with the guitar slot and co-writing position on his forthcoming solo albums, Whitesnake and Northwinds. This led to the formation of the classic Whitesnake line-up during which time Micky toured worldwide, acquiring many gold discs and much wider recognition. He even found time to record an album and a Levi jean commercial with Status Quo lyricist Bob Young. The pair also put together a band featuring Lemmie, Cozy Powell and the Nolan Sisters to record a top sixty single!

As a sideman, Micky has featured alongside such classic British singers as Graham Bonnet, Frankie Miller, Chris Farlowe, Sheena Easton, Roger Chapman, Elkie Brookes and Eric Burdon. Visitors from the states such as Meat Loaf, Matt guitar Murphy, Ben E. King and Walter Trout have all employed his talents to enhance their performances.

Fresh driving acoustic blues-rock is the keyword for this years big CD-debut on the Norwegian blues scene. Brothers In Blues, a new project performed by brothers Peer (a.k.a Peer Gynt) and Geir Taraldsen.

Peer Gynt is known for his long international career as a blues guitarist with multiple albums released world wide. He´s been in the process of making an acoustic album for years, and when he finally started writing songs for this new album, his brother Geir Taraldsen came on board on harmonica, and Brothers In Blues was born!

The legendary guitarist, Micky Moody, from the renowned band Whitesnake, is one of the celebrity guest artist on the Brothers in Blues album, which is co-produced by StarGate-founder Hallgeir Rustan.
