Jeff Chapman is a singer turned songwriter that has been performing for audiences since the mid-1970s. Jeff has a natural talent and ability to entertain and has been singing and playing rhythm guitar in every type of venue in those almost 40 years, including being involved in the tradition that is the St. Louis blues music scene.

His long awaited 3rd album is ‘Watchin’ The World Go By’. This new project includes 10 all new original songs, which are a unique blend of electric blues, as well as 3 well chosen covers. He also selects some of the best players in the region, to perform these numbers on the album and for live show dates. with his own Brother Jefferson Band.

Jeff is also the co-founder of the Chapman Bros., a band established in 1981 with brother Jerry. They still perform throughout the region as well.

Jeff Chapman can also be found in one off projects, and even performing solo.

Jeff Chapman - South Central Illinois vocalist/guitarist has been performing live since 1977, beginning with church & local organization events. Along with brother Jerry, began the Chapman Bros. band in 1981, starting as a country group, adding southern rock into the repertoire through the years and peppering in blues in the early 90's. Jeff fronts this band as lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist. Jeff's interests leaning more to blues, began a side project in 2004 (Big Jeff & the Smokers) releasing a CD of covers in 2005, spending half his time with each group. Jeff also worked as front man for 2-1/2 years in the Hard Tale Blues band, hosting the Monday night Blues jam in Downtown St. Louis MO's Beale on Broadway. More recently Jeff's own 'Blues Ensemble' continues to please audiences with their regional shows building a growing fan base. Over the last 3 years he has been writing & performing his own music leading to this release, Jeff Chapman - Big Jeff's Blues Vol.1

Big Jeff's Blues - Vol. 2 features a scaled down format from Vol. 1, using the musicians that perform with the artist in his live shows. The one exception is track 7 which features backing vocals from a choir, and additional instrumentation. More songs about life's every day ups and downs with standout performances from all contributors. From the light & melodic shuffles, to the the songs of woe, and a couple of rocking tunes to round out this release.
