Roberto Porzio is a prominent blues guitarist on the Argentinian blues scene. He began his career in 1997 as a member of The Blues Special Band and has accompanied several international blues legends such as Billy Branch, John Primer, Phil Guy, Lurrie Bell and Jimmy Burns among others. He also works as a guitar teacher at the School of Blues in Buenos Aires, where he has taught for more than 20 years.

The music of Adrián Jiménez and Roberto Porzio is faithful to the roots of Afro-American music, with a unique flair that transports audiences to the very essence of blues. With a perfect ensemble of vocals, harmonica and guitar, the duet plays an extensive repertoire of varied styles faithful to the stylistic hallmarks typical of black music – sanguine, raw and full of energy. Both musicians play diatonic and chromatic harmonicas, as well as a wide variety of strings – guitars, slide, one string, cigar box - that create a perfect frame for their vocals.

With a career spanning more than 20 years in this unique endeavour, Jiménez and Porzio bring to life the most rustic and visceral music in the Afro-American tradition, adding a personal touch to it - a breath of fresh air that makes their shows a unique experience.
