St. The Marcus Blues Band will be enhanced with Jakob Big Band's entire blow section (13 blowers). Anders Sjölind is the chaplain for the concerts. Most of the music performed is own material, mainly composed by StMBB's guitarist and singer Hannu Lindblom. Anders Sjölind has, for these anniversary concerts, made entirely new big band arrangements for Jakob Big Band for most of the concert songs. Anders Sjölind is a local young and talented musician, composer and arranger. He was graduated in 2016 as a music educator from the Novia University of Applied Sciences in Jakobstad.

StMBB, based in Jakobstad, is one of Finland's oldest and still active blues bands. Foundations for StMBB were made already in the early 60s and in 1967 the name St. Marcus Blues Band. 1972-1979 was called the band Fantasia because the music then went more in the progressive direction. Among other things, toured the band in the then Soviet Union. In 1980, STMBB returned to its roots ie. blues rock and so it has been ever since. Since the birth of StMBB, Hannu Lindblom has been the band's "fire soul". In addition to Hannu Lindblom's founding members, Markku "Löke" Lönngren is still in the band. The band's composition has varied over the years but since the beginning of the 2000s has consisted of two guitarists, bassist, keybordist, drummer and a 3-man blues section. Characteristic of StMBB's music is a relatively heavy but swinging blues rock with elements of progressive tones and rhythms. This is a blues music combination that StMBB is supposed to be alone in Finland at present.

Jakob Big Band with hometown Jakobstad is a full-sized big band consisting of a mix of music students, amateur musicians and professional musicians. Jakob Big Band has been around since the mid-90s but has its roots already in Jakobstad's Big Band, which was already in the 70's.
