Little Kim Retallick, a well known artist on the Calgary music scene is releasing her debut Cd, “Workweek Blues”. It’s a funky combination of Blues, Country Blues, Motown, and R&B. After many successful years of fronting Blues/Rock cover band, The Triple Teaz, Little Kim has taken her career to a new level by releasing a top notch, exciting new CD. “Workweek Blues” is all about the groove. It’s feel good music even when the Blues have you down. Her 11 track disk consists of 8 original tunes and 3 blues standards. The songs exhibit Little Kim Retallick’s eclectic influences, from Blues, Motown, R&B, to Country and Rock. Resembling a vocal style of Bobby Gentry on “Catch A Train” or the classic style of early blues vocalists on “So Broke Baby” and Crazy, the album with a wide variety of Blues Rhythms is definitely worth the listen.
