24 track collection of Texas Style Jump & Barrelhouse, recorded in Houston between 1948 and 1953. These track's are from Eddie's, an independent record label, founded in the fall of 1947 by part-time DJ and record distributor Eddie Henry. These recordings encompass everything from big-band swing (in stripped-down form), jump blues, and boogie woogie to early-'50s R&B. Sadly enough, Eddie Henry passed away in the early 1950s, before he ever had a chance to explore more Texas music.
