This past February at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, a kid in Willie Nelson braids sat in with Los Lobos, playing a smattering of tunes and wowing the audience — and the legendary Lobos themselves — with soaring leads that evoked something between Duane Allman and Albert King. To the surprise of many in attendance, the young man was a 25-year-old Denver guitarist named Taylor Scott, who moved here four years ago from Cheyenne, Wyoming. He is slowly becoming a force as a singer-songwriter and bandleader.
