Formed in 1989, after playing under different names, la Blues Band de Granada made its first important live performance when they opened for Johnny Winter in May of 1990. Soon after, they recorded El Mejor Blues De la Ciudad, released by Cambayá Records. After guitarists José Luis Pizarro, Carlos Martin, and pianist David Lenker joined in, Negro En Tierra de Blancas was recorded and released in 1991 by Big Band Records. In 1994, Estanis Peinado replaced Lenker on piano. That same year, bassist Joaquín Caballero, singer Connie Resch, and guitarist Javier García became the band's new members, making La Vida No Es Tan Fácil. In July of 2000, la Blues Band de Granada successfully performed along with Graham Foster at San Clemente's Plaza de Toros. /Drago Bonacich

La Blues Band De Granada is a legendary formation that celebrates their thirty-seventh anniversary practicing the best blues against all odds. They are largely responsible for the fact that the twelve-bar genre has been kept alive, active and current in Granada and throughout Andalusia during the last thirty years. After many changes in 2020, the formation is settled after the addition of Sandra Morales on vocals with whom they recorded their eighth album entitled "The Jumping Boogie". The album was released in October 2023 and is a return to where the band once started, with their own compositions and the characteristic, eclectic and forceful sound of the band.
