The Divine and Dirty is a very guitar influenced album and Barras definitely shows he has major chops. Barras is a wicked slide player, but his soulful guitar solos really grab the listener, too. “Hold On For Tomorrow” is a definite album highlight that rides out with a soaring guitar solo that really highlights Kris’ great playing. Then there’s the epic slow blues of “Watching Over Me,” which is a song Kris dedicates to his late father and features an absolutely epic guitar solo that could go down as the best of the year.

The Kris Barras Band delivers the complete package with The Divine and Dirty. The songs are catchy, the guitar playing is superb, and the production is top notch. Kris Barras has been around the blues rock scene, but this is the album that truly sees his star rise. When 2018 comes to an end, The Divine and Dirty will surely be talked about as one of the best blues rock albums of the year. ~Pete Francis

After winning a school talent show aged 8, he went on to perform his very first live gig aged 9, with his Dad's band. With over 20 years playing experience and nearly 15 years teaching experience, Kris has led the life of a Professional Musician since leaving school.

“MY BIGGEST MUSICAL INFLUENCE WHEN GROWING UP, WAS ALWAYS GARY MOORE. AFTER A FEW YEARS OF PLAYING JAZZ- ROCK INSTRUMENTALS, I FEEL LIKE I HAVE RETURNED TO MY ROOTS, PLAYING THE STYLE OF MUSIC THAT INSPIRED ME TO PLAY IN THE FIRST PLACE.”

Kris has written and released a book and an instructional DVD through popular Guitar publishers Shred Academy and Chops from Hell. He has also worked for one of the worlds largest guitar sites, Lick Library, releasing his own web lesson series on lead guitar techniques. Kris used to write a regular guitar technique column for "Play" magazine covering different aspects of guitar soloing techniques. He has also been a lecturer at The Academy of Music and Sound, a dedicated Music College running BTEC and Degree level courses..

Kris Barras is one of the UK's most exciting Blues/Rock guitarists. A unique blend of fantastic songwriting, great vocals and blistering guitar work. This album brings a refreshing sound to the Blues/Rock genre, bringing it up to date, without losing the classic touch.
