Lene Strøyer won the award "The Danish Blues Artist 2010"and is an extraordinary singer with a deep feeling for the blues. She delivers an energetic live performance with her groovy band Mama’s Blues Joint. Lene Strøyer formed the band in 2002, and she writes most of the band's material.

She has received much recognition for her original blues compositions, and several songs have won awards at international songwriting contests. Lene Strøyer has a love for the blues but writes blues songs influenced both by soul, pop & funk. Mama's Blues Joint plays a variety of groovy songs that please the audience.

Lene Strøyer has earned a reputation as one of Denmark's best blues singers with an exceptional soulful voice and a great performer. Lene Strøyer founded her dream team; Mama's Blues Joint in 2002 The song 'Missing you' from the bands debut album Mama's Blues Joint got a sixth place in the International category in one of Australia's biggest song contests ASA.2008 and got an honorable mentioning in the ISC Songcontest 2005.

Mama's Blues Joint released their second album "Blues In Many Colors "March 2009 and it has been air played at blues radios all over the world. (Denmark, Sweden, Norway, France, Argentina, Australia, England, Germany, Mexico). The band has been playing at blues clubs and festivals both in and outside Denmark. Copenhagen Bluesfestival, (DK), Copenhagen Jazzfestival (DK) Eslöv Bluesfestival (Sweden), Malmøfestival (Sweden) etc.

Mama's Blues Joint delivers a hot performance with songs from both CD's mixed with great blues songs by artist as Etta James, Bonnie Raitt, B.B. King, Albert Collins and Delbert McClinton. This is rhythm & blues with a touch of soul/rock/funk and country - and great love for a good groove.

Mama’s Blues Joint was formed in 2002 by the soulful singer/composer.
Lene Strøyer and the band has been playing at festivals & Clubs in Scandinavia since then.
