The Bourbon Street Blues Band pays tribute to Blues Artist Joe Liggins, Muddy Waters, Leadbelly just to name a few. New Orleans Drummer / Vocalist Kenny Sara produced and wrote 8 songs for this CD.(Tracks 1,2,4,5,8,9,10,11). Legendary Blues man Johnny Turner starts off the CD with a Rockin & Rollin wah wah guitar solo that lends true to old school guitar. Dina Bennett lends her vocal chops singing a tribute to Joe Liggins One Sweet Letter. Tenor Sax Man Jimmy Roberts brings back the ghost of Stanley Turrentine, honking a couple choruses on Easy Greasy, I Wanna Know. Rounding out the crew Gary Fukushima plays the Hammond B3 organ, pianos James Acore ( formerly of Royal Crowne Review) plays a hot BBish guitar solo on track 8. Doug Macaskill Los Angeles session guitarist, plays Dobro -Slide guitar solos on tracks 2,5,7. Dan Brownfield plays cello on track 6. Sax man Robert Kyle plays a daunting Lee Oscar like harmonica solo on track 9. Finish this off with some good ole Gumbo- Second Line (track 11) makes a mood for a New Orleans Delta- Blues event!!
