Notes: Sylvia Lee Burton Embry grew up in Arkansas. She had been a vibrant part of the Chicago blues scene. She was married with the late blues singer/guitarist John Embry. Proving to be a talented, reliable, and intelligent performer, she built a fine reputation in the blues capitol, and finally landed regular gigs with two fixtures of the Chicago scene: Jimmy Dawkins and late, great Lefty Dizz.                                                                                                                   This album was recorded in Chicago for German label L+R. Two last tracks recorded from Europe, Germany, in her tour with the American Folk Blues Festival. On studio cuts, lead guitar have Great Jimmy DAWKINS!
