Before his performance at the Brezoi Open Air Blues Festival in July 2019, Oscar Benton asks how long he is expected to play. “As long as you want!” responds the organizer. The Dutch blues singer is not just any artist in Romania; he is a star. Benton hasn't traveled the twenty-five yards from his car to the backstage caravan when he's already being ambushed. People who want to take a picture with him. People with piles of CDs and LPs to get signed. Records that many Dutch pop and rock fans did not know they had ever been released.
