But when that band decided to stop it in 2008, Mark Ducommun thought he could write and record some of his own songs.
Now the fruits of his hard work have been bundled over the past years on the solo debut album "Duke's Blues' and" Grooves "on which eleven compositions have been released, some of which are sung by a guest singer named Victoria Hughes. Mark Ducommun also sings lead vocals from time to time, but he mainly plays acoustic and electric guitars and he has invited eight other experienced instrumentalists in the studio to come and play on these songs."
