'Live At SBN' is the latest release of leading Dutch blues band Phil Bee and the Buzztones. The album was recorded at the Southern Blues Night festival, Heerlen, The Netherlands, on March 21st 2008 by Rob Driessen, who also did the mixing and mastering at 3SunRecordings. The band proves to have improved once again and plays a strong set of 10 songs, including own material as well as covers such as Ian Siegals Brandy Balloon or Buddy Johnsons Since I Fell For You. Two guests appear on the album, excellent American singer Lea Gilmore and very talented Dutch harmonica player Wesley van Werkhoven of the band Big Blind. All in all a fine blues record, with funky edges. Excellent individual musicians who have found the way to express their joy and love for music. This drive is, no doubt, their strongest asset.
