Accidentally out of time and place all my life, I’ve drifted sideways through the 20th and 21st centuries, often doubting the existence of space and time, wondering if I’m from another planet trying to make friends with the people of earth.. I was once lead singer of Sire/Warner’s seminal 90′s rock band Scorpio Rising, signed in person by the legends Seymour Stein and Howie Klein (promised me Kool Aid Owsley acid) over lobster fermidor after selling out the old Marquee on Wardour St.. and after recording with Teo Miller, Steve Osborne and Paul Oakenfold, deals with Sire / Warner Brothers, Sire / Elektra, Polygram, RCA and playing at Reading and Finsbury Festivals and shows with The Cult, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Blur etc I disappeared from music into a parallel universe and some truly bizarre and highly dangerous misadventures involving several assumed identities in London, Manchester, Brighton and Amsterdam…
I didn’t touch a guitar for 20 years.. but at last I’m now back in the UK, living on the English delta (River Lee / London / Grand Union / Leeds and Liverpool / Kennet & Avon) aboard my 62″ barge “The Heart Of Gold” with my battered box full off fuzz and two 4 string guitars, back playing 100% proof sonic blues with my long time partner in crime Sploote AKA “Kaptain Boogie” and the amazing new SONIC GYPSY BAND featuring Purcy Shaun Kemlo Flaherty (Harmonica), Piers Pennell AKA Dub Punk (Bass) and Mon Duncalf (Drums)..
