Renovation Blues Band is a dedicated project presenting upbeat & cutting edge blues to enthusiastic audiences. Swingin' grooves, shufflin' beats, funky rhythms are the calling card. An engaging band that has been featured at the Vancouver Island Blues Bash and the Nanaimo Summertime Blues several times, as well at many Island pubs and music venues - they just love to entertain.

Playing a variety of blues-influenced music, rooted in the Chicago, Texas, and West Coast traditions, the vocals, deep rhythms, and hot solos never quit. "Muddy Side Up" is the debut recording and was recorded live and produced by the band, with mastering done by the able Zak Cohen at The Woodshop studio.

Renovation Blues Band hails from Vancouver Island, BC, Canada, and has been together since 2007. After 18 years of passionate festival & club appearances they have released their new studio album. Nail It! (the band’s 3rd release) features 16 electric and robust performances with 7 original songs, including tributes to 3 of the bands favourites: Kim Wilson, Tiny Bradshaw, and Memphis Slim.

The album features new takes on jump blues rhythms, lots of swingin’ guitar, piano, organ, and sax solos, and some more rocking material, blended together in the RBB cauldron. This is some entertaining & killer-diller material! Produced by the band and recorded at Sean’s Lo-Speed Studio with vintage instruments and amplifiers from the 50s & 60s, the release embodies a strong sense of dedication and fun.

Ten years in, the experiment was a success! Renovation Blues Band was formed in late 2006 and got busy in 2007 to deliver authentic and exciting music to audiences eager to dance or just soak up some tasty tunes.
