As James Brown said “it’s all about the one”, that’s what makes you move to the groove. Mission Brown use this old-aged rhythmic know-how to drive their ‘Trainwreck Hillbilly Blues’ to get your feet moving and your beer arm swinging.
Gus Kelly drives the ‘train’ as he plays his stripped back, foot-operated drum kit and rhythm guitar at the same time. James Crosland provides the low down rumble that hits you in the chest while Max Maxey employs his unique style of lead, raucous slide guitar and offbeat riffs on his home-made cigarbox guitars and vintage 6 strings.
Mission Brown are not your ordinary 3 piece, and while they draw heavily on the past, they have a sound and tunes that are all their own. Go check ‘em out.
Mission Brown are: Max Maxey - Guitars, CBG’s and Vocal, Gus Kelly - Guitars, CBG’s Drums & Vocal, James Crosland - Bass, Vocal and Percussion. Special guest appearance on Tambo, Shaker & cabasa by Tyson Fish.
