British blues artist Dani Wilde has released "The VizzTone Sessions", a 19-track anthology that captures a decade of recordings for the VizzTone label and highlights her evolution as a songwriter, guitarist, and vocalist. This collection offers more than a retrospective. It’s a carefully curated journey through ten years of blues, showcasing Wilde’s signature style - honest, soulful, and deeply expressive. From stripped-down acoustic performances to powerful electric blues, the album reflects the full range of her artistry. Notably, 10 of the 19 tracks are making their CD debut, giving longtime fans and collectors a chance to own previously digital-only releases in physical form.

Among the highlights is Wilde’s version of Bumblebee, originally by Memphis Minnie, which has surpassed 5 million streams on Spotify. The track features her brother Will Wilde on harmonica, adding a dynamic blues edge. The album also includes contributions from Victoria Smith (bass), Will Wilde (harmonica), and Chris Holland (keys), alongside a strong ensemble of musicians. Wilde produced the album herself, with engineering and mixing by Ali Gavan and mastering by Jon Astley.

As described in the album booklet, Wilde’s journey has taken her from blues clubs across Europe and the US to stages around the world. The blues has been both her foundation and her passport - fueling a career built on authenticity and experience. Europe's Ruf label has a history of packaging blues artists, especially women, together for tours, and this one, recorded live in Bonn, Germany in January, 2008, works especially well. Newcomer Dani Wilde joins veterans Candye Kane and Deborah Coleman (the latter had been part of the previous Ruf blues package) for a rousing performance of blues and soul that condenses and displays the finest attributes of each artist.

The tour borrows its name from Kane's 2007 Guitar'd and Feathered album, but it's the U.K.'s Wilde who makes the strongest impression, perhaps because she's somewhat of an unknown entity (her debut was not available in America as of this album's appearance, yet had been released in Europe). As in the past, the performers open and close the concert together, then concentrate on individual sets with a terrific road band backing up each one. The proceedings kick off in strong form with the trio's cover of Ray Charles' defiant "Won't Leave," trading off lead vocals. That drives the raw, party groove for the remainder of the show.

Wilde's opening four original songs feature her guitar, but it's her growling, insistent vocals, somewhat similar to those of Janis Joplin, that are such a revelation. She hisses, yowls, croons and snarls her way through a set that ends too soon with the nearly six-minute slow blues of "I Love You More Than I Hate Myself" an unanticipated highlight of the night.

Following that would be a challenged for anyone, yet Kane tries her hardest, strutting her way through typically sassy, double entendre jump blues-influenced music that reprises three songs from her recent disc and closes with the appropriately titled "Toughest Girl Alive." Fun and frisky.

Coleman appears next, churning out sharp guitar to Luther Allison's "Fight" and ZZ Top's "Jesus Just Left Chicago," some inspired, even unusual covers that she stamps with her unique voice and rugged solos. The trio returns for raucous versions of "Something's Got a Hold of Me" and a rollicking ten-minute "Whole Lotta Love" that starts as a shuffle then shifts to Led Zeppelin's well-known arrangement to help close this high energy gig on an appropriately rowdy note. /Hal Horowitz, AllMusic

British Blues Award winner Dani Wilde burst onto the International blues scene in 2007, opening for Jools Holland at The Royal Albert Hall and signing to prestigious blues record label Ruf Records. Since then she has toured extensively across the UK, Europe, America, Canada, and Africa. USA concerts have included headline shows under her own name, and performances with girl group ‘Girls With Guitars’ alongside Samantha Fish and Cassie Taylor. The group’s 2012 record, produced by Mike Zito in Berlin, was a hit in Europe; the single “Bitch” reaching the Number 1 spot in the iTunes blues charts in Italy.

Live at Brighton Road finds Dani Wilde performing live in the studio with her touring band, featuring her brother Will Wilde on harmonica. Dani is performing mostly original songs, split into an acoustic and electric set. Kansas City native Samantha Fish may have been the least experienced member of last year's "Girls with Guitars" trio, but she quickly became a powerful presence at the very center of the show. Her performances lived up to - no, check that - surpassed all the pre-tour hype surrounding this rising star of the blues. Just 22 years old, Fish sings and plays at an astounding level of maturity. She made that clear on her debut album Runaway, released during Blues Caravan 2011 - a convincing blend of blues, boogie, rock and country. After graduating with her 1st class degree in Vocals at the Brighton Institute of Modern Music (BIMM) in 2005, Dani Wilde was signed to the international blues record label 'Ruf Records' in September 2007, with the release of her debut album "Heal My Blues" in January 2008.

Since then, Wilde had toured across The UK, Europe, Canada, America and Africa. In 2009, she released her second album, "Shine" with blues producer Mike Vernon. In May 2012, Wilde's third album "Juice Me Up" was released.

Wilde has achieved three number 1's in the official European I-Tunes Blues charts with her singles "Bring Your Loving Home" (Album: Heal my Blues), "Abandoned Child" (Album: Shine) and "Bitch" (Album: Girls with Guitars). In 2013, Wilde's single "Loving You", released on Bri-Tone Records, entered into the European Country Music Chart's Top 40.[9]

The name says it all. "Girls with Guitars" - the  Blues Caravan Tour - presents three of the scene's hottest young female guitar slingers on a single stage.

Over the past six years, the Blues Caravan has toured successfully in the UK, USA and throughout continental Europe. This unique triple bill revue has helped introduce bright new stars such as Ana Popovic and Joanne Shaw Taylor to an international audience. Following in their footsteps on the 2011 tour is a trio of dynamic, up-and-coming blues talents: Dani Wilde, Cassie Taylor and Samantha Fish.

Hailing from Brighton, England, Dani Wilde sings the blues with the old-school fervor of Aretha Franklin, but also takes a cue from contemporaries like Duffy and Joss Stone. The singer/songwriter/guitarist has just released her second album, Shine, a collaboration with renowned producer Mike Vernon (Eric Clapton, Fleetwood Mac). She has shared stages with luminaries like Robben Ford, Candye Kane and Koko Taylor. Says Paul Jones of BBC Radio 2: "Dani Wilde's voice is astounding, with a unique raw passion and energy. She sings with more conviction and passion than old legends from the Mississippi Delta."

At the tender age of 21, Samantha Fish is already a hot property on the live music scene in and around her hometown of Kansas City, Missouri. She discovered the blues almost by accident as a teenager, but it has since become her singular mission in life. Her high-heeled, rock-edged performances have won her a loyal local following and carried her to venues like Rosa's Lounge in Chicago, where she opened eyes during the 2010 Chicago Blues Festival. 2011 seems destined to be her breakout year.

Proud to call herself the "Daughter of a Bluesman," multi-instrumentalist Cassie Taylor has appeared on eight critically-acclaimed albums by her father, Otis Taylor, and accompanied him on tours all over the world. She was also a featured vocalist on Gary Moore's 2008 release Bad For You Baby. Still just in her early 20s, Cassie has been hailed for her commanding stage presence and "heavenly" voice (Boston Globe). Her music ranges from heart-wrenching ballads to hard-driving blues. Like her father, Taylor doesn't shy from topical subject matter, nor shrink from breaching musical boundaries.

This trio of young, passionate performers is backed by a top-flight band of road-tested professionals for more than two hours of live blues excellence.

As a foretaste for their upcomining shows around the world, the three guitarists recorded a common album in November 2010 in Berlin at the Studio Erde, which will be released to the blast-off to their tour. None other than Mike Zito produced the album. Multiple Blues Award Winner in Memphis 2010. On the album are ten own songs, like the earthshaking Get Back ("a real Killer" - Daniel Böhm, ROCKS Magazine 01/2011) or the laid-back Wait A Minute, and two covers of two really great songs.
