They are still in top form as they deliver their latest CD, the tonic, inventive and powerful INVASION : a world of their own that unfolds on 13 self-penned compositions including several “anthems” on the borders of rock, blues and pop!

Blues Power Band - 2 albums: Shoot Shoot Don't Talk! / Dark Room

BLUES POWER BAND (BPB) is the most explosive group on the French Blues Rock music scène and their first album was awarded “Best Blues Album of the Year”. With over 500 concerts under their belts, BPB have become the benchmark in France when it comes to performing extraordinary shows. Famous for their creativity and energy, the Beeps (such is their nickname) know how to switch from a more “radical” style of music to something more orchestrated with arrangements for choirs, brass and strings.

The lead singer, Hervé “Bannish” Joachim, is jovial, genuine and friendly. He is also the boss! Classically trained, his voice personalises the band’s sound and style. As co-founder of the group, his enthusiasm is infectious and his 150 ideas per second have propelled the band to give their best both on and off stage.

Régis “papygratteux” Lavisse, on backing vocals and guitar, is unpredictable, brooding and a showman. He collects Gibsons and musical skills. He can play several instruments and is a master guitarist: he’s like BPB’s conductor and also acts as arranger. Holder of the holy grail of guitars, he’ll blow you away with the unbridled sound coming from his instrument and revelatory performance.

Also on guitar and backing vocals is Pascal Guégan: handsome, kind, cultured, funny...the ideal son-in-law and co-founder of the group. He puts his plectrum, pen and knowledge of Blues and Rock to good use for the band. His six-stringed supercharged alter ego makes the band what it is.

On bass is the enthusiastic and ambitious Nicolas Paullin. He breathes the Big Groove into BPB. An energetic bass player brought up on 70s rock and funk music, he brings a sense of humour and elegance to the band.

Olivier Picard Bathus is on drums: calm, wise and accurate. Originally from the Reunion Island, he joined the group in 2006 to add his perfectionism, ideas and desires to the mix. A born drummer and Drumtech-qualified (London), his use of the drumsticks knows no bounds and has no rival.

The “good-looking one” of the group is on keyboards: the mischievous dreamer that is Damien Cornelis. He’s already played with the best and he joined the group in 2007 bringing his “joie de vivre” and incredible talent which has been unanimously acclaimed by the French Blues scene.
