The copenhagen's sixth Mighty Blues Band releases on 11 August 2017 its debut album, Standing By A Mountain, exclusively with its own compositions in a hard-wearing and beautiful mix of heavy blues and southern rock. Mighty Blues Band, which has existed since the beginning of 2012, and belongs to the Copenhagen West Bank, understands living the boyhood dreams completely.
There are nice musical guest visits on the album. Dan Hemmer, Danish Hammond organist in international top class, who is one of the world's best jazz rock drummers Steve Gadd in the trio Blicher Hemmer Gadd, has put an organ on and lifted eight of the album's 11 tracks. All songs on the album are their own compositions, and are textually held firmly in the tradition of the bluesrocked universe with songs of lack, pain and failure - and songs of being drunk and giving it full throttle on the highway and at the party. Musically we find ourselves in the American southern states with heavy and groovy blues rock and large-scale South-East rock with lots of guitar solos, which call for air guitar. The guitars and harmonies are spiced efficiently with authentic oral accordion.(Translated from Danish.)
