They are no big names that you will recognize but that old feel of '60's Chicago Blues is there. Frank Mirra plays his guitar in a manner that is not flash, like what you would expect from "white-boy blues." There is no Clapton, Beck or Page flash guitar. Rather, Big Frank & The Healers are a tight unit that you would expect and discover in juke joints of Chicago and Memphis, or down in the Delta. There is no Joe Bonnamassa or Kenny Wayne Shapherd on SPARKY'S LOUNGE. Big Frank & The Healers did all right without any "big names." It may be some time before I put this album away." ~Ray Corey
