Virginia began her musical journey, with a childhood full of music, mixed rock and blues. At age 13, virginia started singing in the hometown gospel choir, a church full of love and soulful music. A choir that made the foundation for Virginias continued interest in music. Around 20 years of age, Virginia decided to travel to Harlem, New York USA, "in order to listen to the music and musicians I've been trained by, and their place of origin and where history was once written." And she did.

Virginia drove around and listened and played with various jazz and blues musicians in the opening scenes. In Harlem, Virginia got to play at clubs like St. Nick's Pub, where, for example, Billie Holiday began her career. In Harlem she was introduced to blues music on a whole other level. "Here I got to meet with several musicians and together we created the blues in the old smoke-filled rooms." In Harlem she started to played with Dennis Davis, drummer best known for his work with David Bowie, Stevie Wonder, Jermain Jackson and Roy Ayers. And here she is today.

Virginia has a powerful voice with great sensitivity and empathy, who can sing everything from heavy blues to funky soul, even with elements of reggae. She is a colorful performer who rarely leave anyone untouched. A reincarnation of Janis Joplin and Etta James.
