Guitarist Pat West brings to the table a fantastic new Blues band featuring guest vocals from Bruce 'Missisippi' Johnson. The music has much of it’s roots in the sounds of the 60’s blues boom, drawing influence from Mayall and Mac, but there is an older Chicago feel at the core and some tunes go even further back, having a T-Bone Walker vibe to them which gives an individuality to the performance and marks them out as far more than copyists or hobbyists. The solid groove the unit establish lay down a foundation for the vocalist for the night Bruce 'Mississippi' Johnson to embellish with his astoundingly deep, rich and effortless voice. Pat West, who is responsible for bringing the project together is a superb guitarist. His fretwork sets the room alight, both as a rhythm and lead player. The band have been recording for a while now and a debut release is close at hand, with more live shows to follow, all following the heading taken by the album, a core organ trio made up of Pat on Guitar, joined by the fabulous Mike Gorman on hammond and drummer, Evan Jenkins.
