'Dynomite' is focusing on the songs. Mostly originals, the majority of tunes were collectively written by Memo and guitar player Kai Strauss. Empowered by Kai Strauss' (Germany) supreme guitar riffs and licks, supported by Erkan Özedemir's (Turkey) pulsating bass lines and Henk Punter's (The Netherlands) steady beats, Memo Gonzalez (U.S.A.) continues to tell his stories of life. He's yearning and suffering, he's fighting and he's furious. Then again he sings and plays the harmonica with passion and irrepressible energy. Beyond doubt, Kai must be regarded one of the best blues guitar players, worldwide. His playing is intense and powerful. He covers a wide range of stylistic refinement, and he never overplays. The band’s history started at the end of the 1980s when Kai Strauss formed the Bluescasters. Already in their early years, the band was invited to perform at festivals, all over Europe. After an impressive ‘Texas Harmonica Rumble’ in Utrecht, The Netherlands, The Bluescasters invited Memo Gonzalez to join them on their European tours. The debut album Let’s All Get Drunk And Get Tattooed (Live) was released in 1996.

Memo Gonzalez hails from Texas. He originally made a name for himself in Europe when he toured with the "Texas Harmonica Rumble" (together with Gary Primich, John "Juke" Logan, and others). He has played clubs such as "B.B. King's" in Memphis, Tennessee, and "Antone's" in Austin, Texas, but he also commands the stage on the European side of the big pond with his fat harmonica ("the juicy tone") and his powerful voice.
