Al Basile is just about to release his tenth solo album titled Woke Up In Memphis. The former member of Roomful Of Blues has done it his way as his own Sunspot label has now celebrated 15 years of existence. He has always been a friend of blues guitarist Duke Robillard who has produced his latest release. If Robillard is going to be in the studio, he might as well contribute his guitar skills, which are some of the best in the business.

In addition to Robillard; he has gathered a talented band to back him in the studio. Current Roomful Of Blues sax player Rich Lataille, former member and baritone sax player Doug James, drummer Mark Teixeira, keyboardist Bruce Bears, and bassist Brad Hallen all support Basil’s vocals and cornet. They add up to an excellent aggregation.

Basile has always been a first-rate song writer and all tracks bear his signature. His lyrics are personal, incisive, and always interesting. The music has layers of textures and his use of horns provide a defining emphasis.

His new album, while grounded in the blues, travels in a number of directions as it incorporates elements of rock, jazz, and gospel. Guest vocalist Sista Monica Parker propels “Make A Little Heaven” into a gospel fused extravaganza. Add in “Saved By The Blues,” “Don’t Make Me Beg,” “One More Stone In The Pitcher,” and “Big Like Elvis,” and you have a nice selection of very listenable songs.

Al Basile has a lot of years and miles under his belt. Woke Up In Memphis is a fine addition to his legacy. ~Review by David Bowling

Bruce McCabe is a towering, albeit mild-mannered figure on the Twin Cities blues-rock scene. Co-leader of the sorely missed Hoopsnakes, McCabe is also the songwriter responsible for Jonny Lang's biggest hit, "Lie to Me," and another Lang song that Phillip Phillips recently rode to glory with on "American Idol" -- "Still Rainin.'" But before any of that, he was a fixture of the Lamont Cranston Band, with whom he's once again playing select dates.

McCabe's re-emergence alongside Pat "Lamont" Hayes and his crew is cause for celebration, since he's back from battling brain cancer -- grade 3 astrocytoma -- for the second time. "I was out jogging and got this weird feeling that seemed too familiar, and I knew I had to get looked at right away," McCabe said. "If not, my head might have exploded." He wound up at the Mayo Clinic a year ago. "I had a 10-hour surgery where I was awake throughout the whole thing, but drugged out, of course. It's amazing what doctors can do these days. I lucked out."

He's been playing around town again, first sparingly, now more regularly. "I don't have to take chemo now, which really tires you out. They'll check in a few weeks, give me another MRI, and see if stopping the chemo was a good idea." One of his first post-surgery gigs was recording the new album, "Lamont Cranston Band, With Bruce McCabe." "That was really nice of Pat Hayes to call me for the album," he said.

"Y'know, Pat kinda trained me in when I first showed up in town, was like a teacher to me. I'd played with [Fabulous Thunderbirds frontman] Kim Wilson for a year before, but Pat was the one who really showed me the ropes of the blues. He was the boss," McCabe said, chuckling. "And I think he's getting better, as he gets older, at writing good songs."

I would describe their sound as an edgy rockabilly. A high energy feel that is almost classic pulp, harkening to the sound of America’s pop culture period of the late 50’s early 60’s if it were injected with Viagra and transported into the future of today’s culture... The Smokin' 45s is a three piece rock 'n' roll act that attacks the rockabilly genre from the country side. They describe their music as country and western rhythm and blues, because it combines aspects of those styles in songs with subjects ranging from gunfighters and heartbreak to drug addiction and casual sex. With a brisk sound that is often described as "hard to believe it only comes from three guys", they are a crowd pleasing party band that appeals to people of many tastes. Deak Harp has been playing harmonica since he was 12 years old. His biggest early inspiration came when his brother introduced him to the music of James Cotton. Deak followed Cotton's band along the east coast for close to five years before Cotton offered Deak a job driving his van. For the next six years, Deak toured with the James Cotton blues band, eventually opening acts and playing along with "Superharp" himself.

Deak has since played with multiple bands and has shown his flexibility as a musician in the varying styles of his performances. From the classic blues standards, to Chicago blues, all the way to Mississippi Hill Country blues, Deak's repertoire continues to grow. Deak has spent time with the Deak Harp Band in its various forms throughout the years, the Kilborn Alley Blues Band (including a tour of London), and has played in states across the country. Deak has traveled in recent years with Big City Rhythm and Blues magazine, performing his innovative one-man show at festivals and events, including the Legendary Rhythm and Blues Cruise in the Caribbean and the 2013 SPAH convention, where Deak played in front of hundreds of fellow harmonica players and was given a standing ovation by his audience.

Deak gets his unique sound by playing an amplified harmonica while simultaneously playing electric guitar or diddley bow, keeping rhythm with a snare drum and a stomp box, and singing his own vocals. Deak's latest move brought him to his new home in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Although his move was in summer of 2013, Deak frequented enough local events in the past ten years that many thought he was already a resident of the Delta.

One of the most subtly satisfying electric blues albums of the '70s. Fenton Robinson never did quite fit the "Genuine Houserocking Music" image of Alligator Records -- his deep, rich baritone sounds more like a magic carpet than a piece of barbed wire, and he speaks in jazz-inflected tongues, full of complex surprises. The title track hits with amazing power, as do the chugging "The Getaway," a hard-swinging "You Say You're Leaving," and the minor-key "You Don't Know What Love Is." In every case, Robinson had recorded them before, but thanks to Bruce Iglauer's superb production, a terrific band, and Robinson's musicianship, these versions reign supreme. ~Bill Dahl

The Charles Burton Blues Band - 2 albums: Everybody's Talkin' / I Wouldn't Lie To You

Born in Los Angeles in 1958, Charles Burton plays with fire, and when he does, his articulation and phrasing are instantly recognizable. This tall drink of water has been playing Blues, Country, Rock, and Roots music for over forty years. He has played lead guitar in Country bands in Los Angeles (1970's), Honolulu (1980's), Tokyo (1990's), and Fresno, California. He headlined the Fresno Blues Festival playing with the late great Hosea Leavy in 1995. As a blues guitarist and singer, he has released four CDs with the Charles Burton Blues Band, and has toured Europe headlining festivals, culture houses, and clubs twice a year since 2005. In 2007/2008 he toured Scandinavia with Maury “Hooter” Saslaff (Big Jack Johnson and the Oilers), playing over 200 gigs in seven months! In 2009 he won San Diego’s International Blues Challenge finals. That same year he took first place in San Diego’s King of the Blues competition. Widely regarded as the best blues guitarist in San Diego, Charles is San Diego’s Blues Ambassador to the world.

Neither does he hail from Memphis, for that matter. Still, his great passion is for the Blues and American Roots music in general – the origins of today´s Rock, Pop and Jazz music. The East-Westfalian (which sounds like a contradiction in itself) guitarist, singer and songwriter has been a constant force within the German music scene for ages, which is hardly surprising when you consider his emotional kind of playing, his moving compositions and rousing concerts.

Michael Barclay - 2 albums: Lazarus / King Of Hearts

Michael worked with Chuck Berry in the late sixties on the east coast and also recorded at Electric Lady Studios for Michael Jeffries (Hendrix manager). In the early seventies, after moving west, Michael joined Banana, keyboardist for the Youngbloods, in his band. Michael worked as a side man with jazz singer, Randy Crawford ("Street Life"). In addition to gigs at major venues, her band also opened for Ronnie Laws, Herbie Hancock, Eddie Harris, Stanley Turentine and other jazz luminaries. For two years, Michael worked with San Francisco organist, Merl Saunders with stints behind singing acts like Hodges, James, and Smith, and others. Michael performed and recorded with Bay area fusion group WBBH. Philip Elwood, in the San Francisco Examiner review , wrote: "A beauty on the LP called 'Lover's Lullaby' features...Barclay on guitar. Barclay, an impressive front man and guitarist, also is an excellent singer." Michael composed the instrumental piece Elwood refers to. His compositions form most of the Michael Barclay Blues Band set list, 12 out of 13 tunes on the CD- ‘Midnight Rendezvous’, and, 13 of 14 tunes on the new CD, ‘Soul Patch’. After gigs with Dorothy Morrison ("Oh happy day") in the notorious Marin jam band, Fast Company, and WBBH Michael formed and recorded The MICHAEL BARCLAY BLUES BAND. Michael has supported Julian Lage, Norton Buffalo, Nick Gravenites, Sarah Baker, Stu Blank and others. He produced the most recent recordings of the late Pattie Santos (It's a Beautiful Day). Michael was a featured performer at: The Russian River Blues Festival, in June 1996; The Sonoma County Blues Festival 1991 and 1998, where the band was received enthusiastically. Recently, Michael signed a contract and completed the production of a blues themes album for The Hollywood Edge, a TV and cinema music library. Once again Michael and the band performed at the Sonoma County Blues Festival; and recently on the same bill with Duke Robillard (KRSH radio backyard concert).

Drawing heavily from north Mississippi trance blues, a bit from the hills of Appalachia and stealing energy from punkabilly, Portland Oregon duo Hillstomp create a raucous hill-country blues-stomp with a fiery youth and vigor. It comes clanging and tumbling out of an assortment of vintage mics, buckets, cans and BBQ lids drenched in rambunctious slide guitar.

In the spring of 2001, Hillstomp was born in a basement (of course) in Portland, OR. It was the bastard child of Henry Kammerer and John Johnson's mutual need to make music and drink beer. Within a few weeks the Guitar/"Drum" duo played their first open mic to a rousing and slightly scary response. Unfortunately, John's drumset (cardboard box, plastic bucket and Weber grill lid) didn't survive the ordeal, so the pair went back under the basement stairs to build some new drums and practice.

In June 2002, Hillstomp emerged from the dust and dark with a visceral music that makes you want to stomp your feet, shake your butt and love your neighbor. Whether playing original songs, traditionals, or the occasional revamped blues classic, Hillstomp has duct-taped together a distinctive sound that quickly bubbled upward in Portland's roots, blues and alternative-music circles. Their do-it-yourself brand of minimal gothic junkbox blues differs drastically from the 12-bar blues style listened to by your uncle. A whole different approach.

Body & Soul has undertaken the huge task of issuing all of John Lee Hooker's recorded work in chronological order, beginning with this double-disc set, which includes Hooker's earliest Detroit recordings, kicking off with "Rocks," tracked on June 12, 1948, in a little studio behind Elmer Barbee's record shop on Lafayette Street. Most of the sides here were recorded by Bernie Besman at United Sound Studios in Detroit and were leased to Modern Records in Los Angeles, although Besman did release some of them on his own Sensation Records. Hooker's first official single, "Sally Mae" b/w "Boogie Chillen," went to the top spot on the R&B charts in 1948 on the strength of its B-side, which became Hooker's signature tune. Most of the tracks here are archival in interest, drawn from scratchy-sounding 78s, and it is primarily collectors who will be interested in this first installment in Body & Soul's grand undertaking. ~Review by Steve Leggett

Dexter Allen Born in Crystal Springs Mississippi, Dexter Allen was raised on a farm and grew up understanding that life can still be wholesome with only the bare necessities. His father being a pastor and grandfather a head deacon, the church was no stranger. Dexter began playing guitar at the age of 10, being tutored by his Uncle Porter and intrigued by every sound of music around him. At the age of 12 he began playing bass guitar for his father's gospel group and traveled around the central Mississippi area for a number of years. Later Dexter began playing for other gospel groups in the area such as, The Dixon Singers and The Robinson Brothers just to name a few.
Dexter’s unique style landed him the 2008 Jackson Music Award for Male Vocalist of the year. Earlier in 2008 he decided it was time to take it to another level and become a recording artist, since he was no stranger to the studio or the stage.Talented in playing guitar, bass and keyboards, he began to write and record his own music and delivered the current album titled Bluezin My Way, a Bluezy, Soulful album, with stories of Love, Lust, Lies, and Allibies. This also landed the Jackson Music awards 2009 Entertainer of the Year Award. In Christmas of 2009 Dexter also released the cd/maxi, titled “ Hello Ms Santa Clause” which is predicted to be a holiday standard among DJ’s across the country. In 2011 Dexter released his current CD titled “Bluezin For Life” which takes you back to the roots with a host of originals and arrangements. Recent write ups in international and US mainstream blues magazines featuring Dexter are well deserved. En junio de 1996, apenas dos meses después de la disolución de la banda española de blues por excelencia, Caledonia Blues Band, dos de sus miembros, Mingo Balaguer (armónica) y Quique Bonal (guitarra), deciden poner en marcha un nuevo proyecto bajo la denominación de Blues Machine. El grupo lo completan el vocalista J.M.Morueta, Alberto Miras (piano y órgano), Fernando Torres (Bajo) y el joven batería onubense, José Mena.

La puesta de largo de la banda, tras una temporada de garitos en la zona de Sevilla y Huelva, tendrá lugar en Marbella, en julio de 1977, cuando telonean al gran B.B. King en una Plaza de toros repleta y, unos días más tarde, en Reus, compartiendo escenario con Mick Taylor.

El estilo de la banda es abierto, con toques de blues de Texas y de Chicago, pero claramente enfocado hacia un estilo Costa Oeste (West Coast), repleto de swing.

Con estas mimbres, se graba una maqueta de tres temas, entre los que están Sinister woman, de Rod Piazza, y Knocking back on your door, el clásico de Kim Wilson. La maqueta tiene una muy buena recepción por parte de los medios (La revista Ritmo y Blues, la califica como los mejores doce minutos del blues nacional de todos los tiempos). El grupo envía la maqueta a la discográfica Big Bang, que había editado los últimos discos de Caledonia Blues Band, y ésta ficha a la banda de inmediato.

Big Bang edita un recopilatorio de blues andaluz (The Southern Flood), en la primavera de 1997, en el que se incluyen los dos temas antes citados de la maqueta previa. En junio de 1997, en Punta Paloma (Cádiz), se graba el primer CD de la banda, producido por Jose María Sagrista. y con el refuerzo de metales en algunos temas. El disco se publica unos meses después con el nombre de Here we are!.

A mediados del año 2001, la banda se reorganiza, incorporándose a la misma el cantante australiano Brent Larkham y el batería Xavi Reija. También se modifica el nombre, y el grupo pasa a llamarse The Blues Blasters.

Con esta denominación, vualven a grabar con la discográfica Big Bang, esta vez con una selección de temas propios que se publican bajo el título de Keep the blues alive! (Big Bang, 2002), y que vuelve a tener una cálida acogida por parte de los medios especializados.

La banda desarrolla una larga gira de presentación, que les lleva, incluso, a los EE. UU.: Ocho conciertos en teatros y grandes festivales de blues, en Washington D.C., Baltimore, Virginia y Maryland, con críticas muy favorables de los medios y buena respuesta de público.

A finales de 2003, tras la desaparición del sello Big Bang, la banda comienza a reducir su tren de actividad y, finalmente, se disuelve en 2004.

Activiste musical et littéraire notoire, Alain de Nardis, chanteur et guitariste rouennais, auteur-compositeur, producteur, est un artiste complet aux multiples facettes et au CV impressionnant. Il se définit lui-même, non sans auto-dérision, comme un maniaco-expressif.

Ex-leader du groupe Nurse avec lequel il connu ses premières télés et grands festivals, musicologue autodidacte et historien des musiques populaires (il a enseigné en musicologie à la Faculté de Rouen), il promène partout son atelier « Histoire des musiques » depuis une dizaine d’années, selon la tradition des vaudeville-bands d’antan, et son big-band « Grand West » regroupant de nombreux musiciens normands parmi lesquels a figuré Dominique Laboubée (Dogs).

Alain de Nardis a participé à la bande originale du film « La Bande du Drugstore » de François Armanet, où il « joue le rôle », avec son groupe The Full Spirits, du premier band qu’il a admiré quand il était adolescent (écoutez la version décapante de Louie Louie, sortie chez Warner sur l’album éponyme).

Pour Alain, écriture et musique sont étroitement liées : après la découverte de la Louisiane pendant l’été 2005, un mois avant le passage de l’ouragan Katrina, voyage à l’origine du livre Un Normand En Louisiane », il commence par composer les dix titres de l’album « Voodoo Love Blues », inspiré par les sonorités entendues sur place.L’album est enregistré avec le groupe Les Fabuleux Culs Trempés et reçoit une critique enthousiaste dans les pages de Rock’n’Folk entre autres.

Plusieurs rencontres plus tard (Alain Bashung, Christophe, Daniel D’Arc, Steve Nieves – clavier d’Elvis Costello, John Trudell, etc.) et de nombreux concerts, il décidé de s’atteler à l’écriture de ce road-movie littéraire, « Un Normand en Louisiane », son deuxième livre après « Station Balnéaire » (Editions Petit à Petit), premier roman musical qui montre de l’intérieur l’invasion musicale anglo-américaine dans un village de la côte normande (Veules Les Roses) au milieu des années 60. « Un Normand en Louisiane » paraît en 2011 dans une édition richement illustrée des photos de son voyage, mais déjà Alain est sur d’autres chemins musicaux…

Deuxième voyage aux Etats-Unis pendant l’été 2011, des chansons plus personnelles en cours d’écriture, et beaucoup d’autres projets…

César Crespo Yuste was born in Madrid, Spain. He began to teach himself to play the Spanish guitar when was eighteen years old. At twenty he got his first electric guitar and became involved with the underground punk-rock scene. He formed first band, Rat Racers, and also played in a few concerts as bass guitarist with the garage band, Sarcastics Bombs. Combined his musical studies with a three year course at M3Musiescuela, receiving private classes in Technique, Harmony and Musical Theory.

Whilst studied biology, during the years 2000 and 2004, the Vice & Vanity band began to take shape. At the same time Opus Dead (Trash Hardcore band from Madrid) given him the opportunity to play in a European tour within the “do it yourself” (D.I.Y.) circuit as their bass player. Vice & Vanity was a Glam Punk Rock band inspired on the sounds of New York of the 70’s, also, went on an auto produced small tour by New York City playing in classical venues like the CBGB, Trash Bar, and Niagara’s.

Together with Pablo López and Manuel Ángel Conejero, he took part in the show called “Poets, Poems & R’n’R”. He formed part of the bands White Cabaret and the Power-Pop. He was a member of Soulstation, a Disco/Soul group from 2009 to 2010. Crespo have worked closely with the Glam-Rock band “StarMafiaBoy”, Rock/Garage band, 70’s Freewheel and rock band “Love Division”.

He met Tonky de la Peña in 2010 and formed part of his band, on a part time basis, since then. During 2011 and 2012 he has occasionally substituted Tonky de la Peña in the Jam of Blues which is held in the Soulstation venue. In November 2012 he began the project The Pinball’s Blues Party, together with reputed Blues musicians of the city. The band is planning to release the first album at the beginning of 2014.

The Hoodoo Rhythm Devils formed in late 1969 at Funky Features, Jack Leahy's legendary recording studio in the famous Haight Ashbury district of San Francisco, California. Joe Crane and John Rewind had written a few songs and had recorded some home demos themselves. Jack Leahy said that they should do some better recordings of the songs, and the band was born. Jack also needed some guinea pigs for his new studio. There were some songs recorded that have never seen the light of day (and probably never will) called "BabyLou", "Dirty Old Man", "Money Back Guarantee", and "Try To Find A Reason". At the beginning they had a few different bass players - Lee Humphries, Richard Wilkins, and then finally acquired Richard "Dexter C. Plates" Greene (Roberta Flack, currently with The Bobs). There were a few different drummer too-Richard Cram, David Pepke, finally getting Glenn Walters, an old friend of Rewind's from Kansas City, who was living in Pacific Grove, CA, after having been abandoned by The Emeralds, a band from KC that Glenn was touring with. With Glenn now on drums, the Hoodoos recorded for months, dozens of songs, and came up with their first album's worth of material for Capitol Records. Joe and Glenn were like twin brothers raised by different families.They did a local EP that included every bar band's national anthem ,"Four Set Blues". A San Francisco DJ named Michael Sunday heard the band, became involved, and got them that first deal at Capitol as the executive producer. They thought they had died and gone to heaven being on Capitol, since they had drooled over that logo since they were kids. Now, that was The Big-Time!

This 14-year-old Colorado guitarist has been playing for 10 years. During her development, she has performed at the Mile High Blues Festival and the International Blues Challenge. On Blues with a Backbone, she is accompanied by guitarist Dave Beegle, bassist Michael Olson and drummer Matt Henderson.

Harmonica player, songwriter, and singer Mark Hummel is a practitioner of the West Coast blues style, which typically includes elements of jazz and swing. A seasoned bandleader, Hummel achieved wider recognition through nearly constant touring. Hummel was born in New Haven, Connecticut but raised in Los Angeles, California. He became fascinated with the blues-rock of Cream, Jimi Hendrix, Big Brother and the Holding Company, and the Rolling Stones. After seeing songwriter credits on the albums, he began to dig further back into those bands' blues roots. He began playing harmonica in his teens in order to be different from the huge pack of guitar players in his high school. Hummel studied the styles of the Chicago-based players, including James Cotton, Sonny Boy Williamson, Big Walter "Shakey" Horton, and Little Walter Jacobs. Hummel moved to Berkeley, California in 1972 and played with local bluesmen there, including Boogie Jake, Cool Papa, Johnny Waters, and Sonny Lane. After graduating high school, he hitchhiked around the country for three years, making stops in New Orleans, Boston, and Chicago to learn from those cities' top players.

In 1980, he formed the Blues Survivors, subsequently performed at numerous blues festivals around the U.S., including the Chicago Blues Festival and the San Francisco Blues Festival. Hummel has released a number of self-produced albums around his Oakland, California home, including Playing in Your Town (1985, Rockinitis Records), Up & Jumpin' (with Canadian guitarist Sue Foley, 1989-1990), and Hard Lovin' (1992, Double Trouble Records). His widely available albums include Feel Like Rockin' (1994, Flying Fish Records), Married To The Blues (1995, Flying Fish), and Heart of Chicago (1997, Tone-Cool/Rounder), an album recorded in Chicago on which Hummel was accompanied by some veteran Chicago sidemen, including drummer Willie "Big Eyes" Smith, guitarist Dave Myers, and producer/guitarist Steve Freund. Considered one of the top harmonica players in the U.S., Hummel has also judged and played in the Hohner Harmonica World Championships, held in Germany; he issued Low Down to Uptown in 1998. Golden State Blues was next, released on new label Electro-Fi with support from Hummel's usual backing band, the Blues Survivors. Retro-Active followed early in 2010. ~Biography by Richard Skelly

Le Chant du Monde decided to reissue the recordings I made for them between 1973 and 1983. 4 LPs! I won’t comment the musical quality but it reminded me a lot of souvenirs, good ones and great encounters too. To make things more tasty I added one CD with 27 harp players who build the history of our modest and wonderful instrument all along the XX century. Maybe you missed some of them?

I Think Blues is a human expression of emotion, a way of expressing how you feel. Most music can do that, but I think blues in particular is all about that. That may explain why I felt called to blues music even though I grew up in Europe, a continent apart from the music’s heartlands in America’s Deep South.
Started listening to Blues players very early, I had to end up, lately, noodling self-taught licks on my old hanging 80s Strat and more recently on a great sounding Gibson ES-339.

As Jimi Hendrix once said: “Sometimes you want to give up the guitar, you’ll hate the guitar. But if you stick with it, you’re gonna be rewarded.”

Rather than trying to be anything remotely near a good player of any great technique, I'm not bound by genre or clichés. I’m a fan of guitar players who aren’t really polished… you’re not sure if it’s all going to fall apart. The real beauty is playing without thinking and once you have the concepts down, what comes out, is from the heart. It's second nature.

I just enjoy listening and playing some music, in honor of that timeless way of killing time (just for the fun of it...and whenever inspired). I'm happiest picking out a blues tune to a suitable backing track. After all, simple music is the hardest to play...

As a tone fiend, I like to let those bluesy guitar tones breathe a little bit. But, everything I play, almost, I have to view as a failure, in a way, because it never, ever comes out quite the way I heard it in my head. Sometimes I end up with something that's kind of close, but it's not quite what intended originally. These uploaded tracks are no exception...

Kevin Thorpe's Out Of The Blue - 2 albums: Shadowplay / Blues In A Bottle

British singer, guitarist, and songwriter Kevin Thorpe and his backing unit Out of the Blue fuse modern electric blues with elements of jazz and rock. Thorpe assembled Out of the Blue in 1994 for what was to be a one-off performance at the Colne Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival; however, the project turned into an ongoing concern for Thorpe, keyboardist Jon Dyke, lead guitarist Eddie Tatton, bassist Lindsay Coulson, and drummer Nigel Lobley. In 1995, the group recorded its debut album, Blues in a Bottle, for the British Armadillo label. Thorpe and the band toured the U.K. and Europe extensively over the next few years; accompanied by Dyke, Thorpe also ventured to America's East Coast, playing a series of dates with Paul Rishell, Annie Raines, and guest guitarist Ronnie Earl. In 2001, the unit released its second album on Armadillo, under the title Shadowplay. ~bio by Steve Huey

Sadly Kevin Thorpe died suddenly after a performance in Newark on September 11th, 2010, a huge loss to music and all who knew him.
