The Delta Monarchs are one of Brisbane’s newest and liveliest Roots/Rock Quartets already securing a gig at the coming 2009 Woodford folk festival. Since their recent conception the boys already have a swag of gigs under their belt and more coming including the Beechmont Blues stomp, Valley fiesta sideshows and the North coast’s Rock n Roots festival. A well rehearsed rhythm section with percussion, bass and drums (ex-Glockenspielers from the early 2000's) back up grinding Lap slide and spanky guitars, hooky vocals and 3 part harmonies give the Monarchs that vibing festival sound. Needless to say that the vast experience in both live and studio performance by all members provide the backbone of this freight train. Album number one is on its way.....
