Fast Eddy's Blue Band was founded by the London born blues rock singer Eddy Wilkinson in 1990. The band combines an exciting, dynamic, blues and rock show, sprinkled with soul and funk elements.Topped-off with Eddy’s instantly recognisable voice, that comes right from the heart, the show is full of power, wit and passion. The Fast Eddy’s Blue Band have been playing non stop since it’s beginning, radiating out from it’s base in Stuttgart, Southern Germany. The band have played many, many top clubs, venues, street fests, firm events and festivals across Germany, Switzerland and Europe including the Montreux Jazz Festival (CH), Bowers & Wilkins Festival (D), Blue Balls Festival (CH), Vallemagia ”Magic” Blues Festival and Cognac Blues Passions (F), Gastro & Blues Festival (H), Frauenfeld Blues Festival (CH), Blues Schmus & Apfelmus (D) and many more.
The band’s style is influenced by greats such as B.B. King, Freddie King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Johnny Winter, Willie Dixon, Albert King, Muddy Waters, Jimmy Reed, Wilson Picket, Otis Redding and many others. Among others, the band has played support for Louisiana Red, Royal Southern Brotherhood, Ten Years After, Keb Mo, Buddy Guy, Hubert Sumlin, Walter Trout, Bernard Allison, Peter Green, Popa Chubby, Ana Popovic, Long John Baldry, Henrik Freischlader, B.B. & The Blues Shacks, Dr. Feelgood and The Fabulous Thunderbirds.
