Asbury Slim is a creation of noted songwriter Denis J Quilligan Jr. Denis, originally from Florida, moved to New Jersey in 1969 after a successful tour with British blues legend "John Mayall" and a new upstart band at the time the "Allman Brothers Band". His New Jersey band "Salvation" is a New Jersey Sound legend. Wikipedia credits them as a major influence on the "Jersey Shore Sound".
