Alligator Jackson was an ensemble rock project that never materialized into a "true band." There were incarnations of this project that performed original classic rock and country.
The sessions released on this album were drenched in southern fried rock. For these recordings made between 2005 and 2009, Alligator Jackson selected Dave Scarboro to be the lead vocalist on the songs The Gator wrote. Alligator joined Scarboro on guitars. TJ Dawg was the drummer and RJ Gibson on bass.
The songs were recorded where good southern rock must be recorded … in the South. East Craft Studios in Vass, North Carolina is where the songs were burned onto tape. Scarboro produced and mixed them.
Alligator Jackson signed with 9 Lives Records out of Kentucky. Although there were plans for a tour, the band never played a show. These songs received airplay on select stations in several countries. To this day, Alligator Jackson remains southern rock's best kept secret. Now, sit back and discover the southern rock band that never really was and enjoy the southern bite of Alligator Jackson.
