Greasy Creek, Kentucky is an unlikely place for a skinny young white boy to fall in love with traditional urbon blues. But that is what Gillispie did. And then he packed a suitcase and traveled to Chicago to study with legendary bluesmen like Junior Wells and Lefty Dizz. That boy learned his lessions well and today that man (Nooo...boy), fronts a superior band, 100 Proof Blues. His playing is admired and respected by his peers and fans as he blows smooth and cool on the midnight blues or, rips out howling riffs that can slice thru concrete.
