After Jan Hirte successfully worked as a sideman with Blues legends like Luther Alison, Johnny Copeland, Buddy Ace and Big Jay Mc Neely since the 80s, rated in record prices with the "First Class Blues Band" and toured the world with the most different musicians, Jan now with his own band "Blue Ribbon" already publishes the third CD which makes this trip possible!

After the first studio CD with guests like Guitar Crusher, Alex Schultz or Wayne Martin in 2009, in 2011 the Live CD "Singing the Blues" feat. Nayeli followed. Now in the end of 2013 the band is about to publish their next studio album "Let it roll". With mainly own compositions the volume completely goes in the direction of modern Soul and reminds of sounds of Amy Winehouse and Sharon Jones. A special feature on "Let it roll" goes to Elen Wendt, whose catchy voice is a perfect supplement to the band. But also without Elen the band is an exeptional experience. Jan sings the songs and puts his ultimate stamp on the band.
In 2012 and 2013 the band was nominated for the German Blues Award. They tour in whole Europe at festivals and in clubs!
