Excellent blues and roots album featuring one of Germany's most profilic guitar players. Also featured is Brenda Boykin, vocalist from the bay area. Highly recommended.
Jens Filser guitar moves in the fields of blues, rock and jazz; he plays electrically and acoustically. After studying jazz at the Conservatory in Arnhem / NL Jens played with well-known representatives of the blues and rock scene, including Rob Strong, Flea Conners, Supercharge, Jeff Healey and Birthcontol, also with Brenda Boykin at the Montreux Jazz Festival. 2008 Jens Filser Blue Band was awarded the Prize of the German Record Critics 'division for the CD, Picks and Licks'. With the German rock icon Anne Haigis produced Jens Filser three CDs as a guitarist and sound engineer, extensive touring accompanied the productions. Here he was in demand as an acoustic guitar player and could play to its talent for creative song accompaniment on the steel string guitar. Currently Jens Filser live to see the band Tommy Schneller (winner of the German Blues Challenge 2012). He also teaches guitar at the music school Haan .
"Coming from Canada to perform in Europe was easy and fun because i had searched wonderful musicians in my European belt.
