TURNIP GREENS are five young Danish musicians – with the looks of pop stars – who got together on the basis on their common interest in music from southern Louisiana and New Orleans. The band has released three albums: "Crosseyed Cat" on Cope Records, "Come Around" on LongLife Records and "Carry me down the Aisle" with the Dutch label Black and Tan Records.
Way back in the South, turnip greens were considered a simple daily fare for the countryside folks. This simplicity is also to be found in the music of Turnip Greens. With a repertoire full of original material Turnip Greens are making their way into the Rock Roots and Blues music tradition of the US.
