Russell has received numerous awards including several American Grammys, and stood behind the sound on Alicia Keys’ biggest hit Fallin’, D’Angelo’s revolutionary album Voodoo, The Roots Phrenology, Al Green, Common, Erykah Badu, Nikka Costa and many more. Russell is an analog purist. The album is mixed from analog tape, through analog gear, etc, without digital effects. This has given Echoes a very unique sound, dripping with soul!
