Igor Prado begins to be interested in the guitar at age 11 and soon fell in love with the blues language, with 16 years was playing in bars and festivals with injunction of justice because of the young age. Developed a style a bit different than playing as self-taught and learned lefty becoming a right-handed guitar upside down, Igor is a lefty who plays with reversed instrument strings.
Deepened in the language of traditional Blues and West Coast Swing, a style that mixes blues with elements of Swing, famous jazz dance movement forties. With an average of 26 years Igor Prado Band is formed by his brother Yuri Prado on drums, Rodrigo Mantovani on acoustic bass and the young Denilson Martins on baritone saxophone. The guitarist has in his luggage several tours with renowned American artists like Steve Guyger, RJ Mischo, Mark Hummel, Rick Estrin (Little Charlie & Nightcats), Lynwood Slim, JJ Jackson, Sax Gordon Beadle, James Wheeler, Phil Guy (legendary Brother Buddy Guy), Mud Morganfield (son of the legendary Muddy Waters), Bob Stroger (bassist Muddy Waters), Tia Carroll, Kim Wilson & Billy Flynn.
Igor Prado also as a music producer has produced some albums (Flávio Guimarães, Prado Blues Band, Robson Fernandes and recently the Chiago pianist, Donny Nichilo) launched in Brazil by the independent label "Chico Blues Records" and simultaneously in the USA by known seal "Pacific Blues "Jerry Hall producer who worked on the legendary Motown Records producing artists such as Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson and Stevie Wonder. ~Thank you daba for the portuguese-to-english translation of the bio.
