Formed in Bergen in the early eighties, Good Time Charlie soon grew to be one of Norway's favourite live acts. Their mixture of black American music from the 40s and 50s helped define their raw, soulful and authentic sound - «The Good Time Charlie signature».

Their solid backbeat, groove and overall pure style have brought GTC praise as a back-up band for such blues greats as Lowell Fulson, Hubert Sumlin, James Cotton, Pinetop Perkins and Jimmy Dawkins. Good Time Charlie have impressed all the legends. Why? Because they feel as much at home playing the raw Sun sounds of Memphis as the heavy Chess blues of Chicago, the deep New Orleans funk of the 60`s as well as the swampy moods of the Louisiana bayou, the shufle of Texas R&B and the jump and jive of the West Coast.
