Big O & the Blue Quarters has gradually hit its name firmly on the Danish blues scene, as a band in constant development, and has already played a lot of concerts at venues, festivals and for private events throughout the country.
Examples include: Horsens Blues Festival, Randers City Blues Festival, The Blue Festival, Aarhus Festuge, Finger Eskil, The Swing, Wonderland, Kulisselageret, HNT and many more. The band is based on Westcoast and Chicago blues and master the swinging "Jump "Blues in a way that makes it hard to sit still. As the band develops, they also move into more modern and experimental blues, and have gradually found their very own unique sound.
The Big O & The Blue Quarters own material is increasingly filling in the repertoire, but they also give their energetic bids to old classics. The band's ability to let things develop on stage has thrilled the audience wherever they have performed and they have managed to convert even the most stubborn blues skeptics.
In addition to playing own compositions, the band offers songs from legends such as T-Bone Walker, Sonny Boy Williamson, Muddy Waters, Elmore James, Little Walter and many more.
