I didn't know a Strat could sound like that until I heard Buddy Guy proclaimed Jeff Beck whose gestures were not alone. Countless accolades from across the music spectrum queue up in honour of the original blues innovator. The likes of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Bill Wyman, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page have all acknowledged their debt to Buddy Guy whose style would arguably change the musical landscape forever.
The 1990s saw a blues revival and in particular a renaissance for Guy who spoke the blues tradition from a different text. His appearance in Connecticut in January 1992 could only confirm the adoration and respect bestowed upon him by the world's leading blues guitarists.

Thanks BT. I saw him live once, in Australia about 15 years ago, he played a set similar to this. It was a good show but I wish I could of seen him in the 60s.
