Formed by Haroldo Mattos (guitar ) , Gustavo Vasconcellos (drums ) , Peter Martin ( bass) and Mario Salimon (voice ) , the Another is a group that proves the value of live music , hot , improvised and grounded in the opportunity that presents itself excited whenever you sit at a table or view in a theater with a heavy sound and lighting capable of enhancing the action rolling on stage .
History - The Another surge in 1991 to take advantage of a loophole left by the Blues Workshop , of which four had been part and had a full schedule at that time . Offered a season at a bar called Train Lake drummer Gustav , who asked the others if they wanted to take the chance .
" It seemed easy and appeal to those letters that marked much curtíamos Hendrix , the Stones and other known public figures . It was a recipe without much possibility of error , such as a bread with a fried egg and tomato with salt and oil . Easy but very good thing, " recalls Salimon .
There is a dispute over who came up with the proposal of the name but the underlying idea is that if the bar could not have the blues band that wanted to be content with another (another ) .
The first shows were experimental and very scarce public . The band was enjoying the moment and the performance of each musician , always creating mysterious climates , valuing the dynamics and sound of the instruments .
Recognition - In 1994 the band has had its own audience and a packed nightclubs in the city in fairly frequent presentations . Gained ground and headed for theaters and public spaces such as parks , movie theaters and circuses in satellite cities .
The proof of maturity came in 1997 when he opened for Another Celso Blues Boy Theatre of Banking , receiving ten minute standing ovation from a crowd that refused to sit back.
Gustavo remembers clearly at least a dozen occasions in which the public has come to howl with the climate created by this quartet which now moves towards two decades of activity. "It was striking a presentation we did at one song at a concert of Guitars series Cerrado , when over a thousand people in a room crowded applauded the Villa Lobos Another from beginning to end," recalls .
The band was gaining expression and its members have always been required in brasiliense musicians market and , together or in different formations , climbed on stage with Blues Etílicos , Leny Andrade , BB King .
In 2002 , the band decided to renew their repertoire , including some pretty impactful soul ballads and listed among the favorite of the public . Was upset that the band gained new momentum and now includes a keyboard at their shows . In recording the live album , however, the band will choose to maintain historical sound , centered on the original best-known formation of public brasiliense .
In that decade and a half , the band went through temporary lineup changes , always returning to sharp and straight to the point that the quartet both public appreciates . And it is this team that will be staged in November to place , albeit belatedly size, Another Blues Band in Brasilia music history.
In late 2007 , the band recorded three nights in audio Rayuella Bistro, to being the best of compiled on a CD released in 2009 by GRV Discs performances .
