Once upon a time, on a late September evening in 2006, 4 guys calling themselves The Hideaways, walked in EKO Studio in Deer Park, NY and created this 2-Track live-in-studio album recording called The Lost Tracks Vol. 1. Although they are primarily a blues band, The Hideaways acknowledge the Blues artists they love, while also allowing elements of old R&B, country, rockabilly, and jazz to infiltrate their sound; all while delivering a rapid-fire live set that is influenced by the performance styles of the Ramones and the Clash. It's all connected; at least in their minds. When it comes time to play, The Hideaways show up as themselves; they play what they like and they "do the thing", without trying to "be the thing".
