When this was first released word was it was Ron Thompson sold as Magic Sam.Maybe Gerard knows the truth.
this is definitely some Ron Thompson demos. Great stuff, but no Magic Sam here!

Yep, these are great tracks, some outstanding slide playing here, but it ain't Sam. Be nice to get some real details on these sessions: dates/personnel/locations. Gerard - what do you know about this recording?
Even If you did not know that this was not Magic Sam you soon would within the first few tracks and on top of that Ron Thompson using the Magic Sam 'name' well, that's a great tradition among bluesmen! I like shit like that.
Of course this is the excellent blues and rock guitarist Ron Thompson. Apparently when Ron recorded those tracks he was not aware that the producers would issue it under the identity of Magic Sam.
