Angela Esmeralda and Sebastiano Lillo were winners of the talent contest “ Obiettivo Bluesin 2013” on the popular stage of Pistoia Blues Festival.
Their first album “Deltasoul” is being published by the Florentine record label Il Popolo del Blues.
Ernesto De Pascale (1958-2011) , a famous journalist of Rai Stereonotte and contributing editor of magazines such as Rolling Stone and Record Collector, established the above mentioned record label. Il Popolo del Blues comes back on the stage with “Deltasoul” album betting on the Italian blues. This album is being distributed by Audioglobe.
Sebastiano Lillo (guitars) and Angela Esmeralda (voice) present a fascinating and involving collection of original tracks.
“Deltasoul “ means the music that “they are” and that they have inside made of pithiness and energy and a mood able to tell new stories but with love for the Origins.
It is a double profile album just like the cover : it matches the Blues from the Origins and the acoustic soul. Freedom, slavery and stories from both New and Old World make this work rich of musical meaning.
Sebastiano Lillo and Angela Esmeralda are looking for an identity which might link this kind of music to their country, Puglia.
Even if these two artists have a different background they have started to work to this project since 2013.
After “ Obiettivo Bluesin 2013”, they took part in the European Blues Challenge reaching the Italian finals.

This a very fine album. Guitar work is beautiful. She has a real feel for the music. Thank you for the continental flavour.
Peace, Love & Blessings
