Alex "Guitar" García formed the band Algeciras Blues Express back in 1984 and toured with the band throughout Spain, playing in clubs as well as at blues and jazz festivals. The band recorded a couple of albums for the Cambayá Records label: "Algeciras Blues Express" and "Guarantee Of Origin", the latter not published.
He also played with the first Caledonia Blues Band, but left them right before their first album to concentrate on Algeciras Blues Express.
