Wildmen Bluesband was founded by the flamboyant guitarist Jos de Wilde. As a guitar teacher, he inspired many students to follow a professional career or not. In 2011 he started with Wildmen Bluesband and after many changes the band is now a house.
In Saskia de Nijs (vocal) Hans van Gaalen (drums) Mark van Lieshout (bass) and Jan Heijmans (keys) he has found an ideal group of people to play the BLUES!
On the stage is an energetic band, where during a splendid performance the sparks fly from!
The powerful sash of Saskia, the stirring Hammond sound of Jan, Jos's challenging guitar solos, supported by the solid rhythm section of Hans and Mark, does not make anyone uneasy.
Each member has extensive experience in other bluesbands, which guarantees a broad base in the blues.
Wildmen Bluesband plays blues from, among others, Elmore James, Freddie King, Buddy Guy, Koko Taylor, Peter Green and many others, including their own songs. The band gives the songs their own turn and, given the public's reactions, this is highly appreciated.
