Distorted blues is Buddy's trademark but this CD lets you hear how he started. It has recordings from about 1960 to 1965 which all have a jazzy-souly feel to them. Kicking off with the classic "First time I met the Blues" which blew Eric Clapton away the first time he heard it. Even though this isn't heavy like most of his later recordings it is still clear to hear his fantastic guitar playing. His voice is quite a lot higher than the deep voice he has now but it is still apparent that he has a great and versitile voice. ~Mr. E. Shiress

As a young boy one of the songs I liked was Mother-In-Law from Ernie K Doe, so I'm very curious about the blues version.
