Stacy Mitchhart is a renowned blues guitarist and vocalist based in Nashville, Tennessee. His music is a unique blend of traditional blues, funk, and soul, and he has been praised for his soulful vocals and fiery guitar playing. Stacy Mitchhart’s musical journey began in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he was exposed to jazz guitar masters like Wes Montgomery and Johnny Smith on the stereo. Influenced by musicians such as Bobby “Blue” Bland and B.B. King, Mitchhart developed his own brand of showmanship and became a bandleader, recording his first album, Blues Transfusion, in 1993. Since then, he has recorded a dozen more albums, including “Grown Ass Man” and “Live from B.B. King’s”, which were critically acclaimed.
Mitchhart's performances are known for their energy, and he has played in various settings, from sold-out arenas to intimate clubs. He has shared the stage with a wide variety of musicians, including Bobby "Blue" Bland, Keb' Mo', James Brown, and Buddy Guy. He won the Albert King Guitar Player Award at the International Blues Competition and has received multiple awards from the Music City Blues Society, including for vocalist, guitarist, band, and entertainer. He was also inducted into the Canada South Blues Hall of Fame. Mitchhart has played at numerous festivals across the world, including the Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Fest, Southside Shuffle, Kalamazoo Blues Festival, and Kings Biscuit Festival, among others.
